20 years memorial concert for LEO WRIGHT, Dec. 14, 1933 (Wichita Falls, TX) - Jan. 4, 1991 (Vienna, Austria) played w. among others Charles Mingus, Kenny Burell, Johnny Cole, Blue Mitchell and was member of the Dizzy Gillespie Quintet for a couple of years, before Berlin and its Blue Note Club became his home, still recording and playing in the US w. Jack McDuff, Jimmy Witherspoon, Lalo Schifrin, Phil Woods, Lee Konitz, Pony Poindexter and more. For some time he was also leader of the Berlin Radio Big Band.
